Malaysia's Defence Ministry has halted all hand grenade training across the armed forces following a fatal blast at Hobart Camp in Kedah that killed two personnel. The suspension remains in effect pending a full investigation into the incident.
Private Siti Khadijah Sungip, 24, died during a grenade exercise at Hobart Camp in Gurun, Kedah yesterday. The young officer, daughter of a retired Royal Artillery Regiment soldier, had joined the Malaysian Army to continue her family's military tradition.
