Pakatan Harapan has announced its candidates for the upcoming Johor state election, selecting former education minister Maszlee Malik to contest Puteri Wangsa and incumbent Batu Pahat Member of Parliament Onn Abu Bakar to challenge for Senggarang.
Former Education Minister Maszlee Malik has accepted a debate challenge from Johor Menteri Besar Onn Hafiz Ghazi ahead of the state election. The Pakatan Harapan candidate for Puteri Wangsa said he welcomed the opportunity to elevate political discourse.
Dr Maszlee Malik, who previously served as education minister, is emerging as a strong contender for the PKR nomination in the forthcoming Johor state election, according to party insiders.
