Court of Appeal Reduces Defamation Award from US$1 Million to RM800,000
Malaysia's Court of Appeal has reduced a defamation award from US$1 million to RM800,000, maintaining the original guilty verdict but rejecting what it termed excessive punitive damages in favour of a compensatory approach.
