Shazwan Zdainal Abidin stands as the the Democratic Action Party (DAP) candidate within the Pakatan Harapan coalition, which is chaired by Prime Minister Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim. The coalition brings together PKR, DAP and Amanah in a unified slate fielded across all 56 Johor state constituencies.
The Parit Raja constituency forms part of the broader battleground that will decide control of the Johor State Legislative Assembly. Pakatan Harapan is contesting all 56 state seats in a direct challenge across both urban and rural Johor.
